When I booked the place I specifically asked if the pub would be open so we could go there for supper and a beer. I even phoned that day to ask if it was open. The resort told me yes both times. Well, it was closed. Then the cabin was really out dated. It looked like a shack from the outside. No hand soap in the bathroom. I will not be back and do not recommend the place.

So far so good. I actually see nothing wrong with this place. We came to the Cabot trail for the views. Not TV channels. Very friendly service. And a short walk to the beach. What more do you need. Don't listen to the bad reviews. They seem to be people wanting a New York experience....not Manhattan..... But totally Cape Breton.

Beautiful scenery, though you get that almost anywhere along the Cabot trail

In short this place was not as advertised, expensive, and I would have been better off sleeping in a tent on the side of the road and burning my 260 dollars.

Terrible. Wifi was unusable, the free breakfast is in fact a continental cold cereal and toast "breakfast" kitchenette had no stove, fridge froze my milk, and the bed was fit for a Klingon Warbird. I've slept on the ground and been more comfortable.

Promised breakfast while on the phone booking reservation then when we get there it turns out their restaurant has been closed for years. Very outdated rooms and buildings.
